Zen Yahweh Fitness offers Registered BCRPA nationally accredited Fitness Instruction in affiliation with CFES and the NFLA. We train all clients and students safely with knowledge, experience, and ingenuity. Custom training for those with medical conditions as well as those that require active recovery rehabilitation for old injuries are treated with custom care and attention to any required adjustments, modifications needed, as well as any collaboration with your doctor, surgeon, physiotherapist, or ICBC lawyer for your comprehensive care at your authorized request. ZYF instructors are dedicated to a regimen of ongoing professional development. It is our mission to provide you with the most comprehensive and complete planning and training services so that whether you are an athlete preparing for competition, or just want to look like one, you can have the conditioning of an athlete that is energizing, effective, & efficient if you follow the program properly. Tanya Zentner attended Northern Lights College for 70 credits total of university transfer courses as an Associate of Arts Student with interdisciplinary and diverse disciplines of course interest between 2004 - 2006 and 2017- 2020 in Social Sciences including Psychology, Social Work, and Anthropology, Women and Gender Studies, and took courses in Biology, PHN Nursing, Ecology, Business Management, and Computers, among others.
In 2008 as a kinesiology major she graduated from the former Hilltop Academy College where she completed the Fitness Leadership Diploma program which includes a 340 hour British Columbia Recreation & Parks Association accredited program and practicum in affiliation with CFES, and graduated with recommendation from Hilltop Academy with a total of 2632 hours of post secondary education at that time in 2008. She had mentored under acclaimed Kim Bond, Donna Hutchinson, Tina Grant, & Jennifer Jollymour. She is a nationally accredited BCRPA certified yoga instructor. Tanya has been successfully training people of all ages in British Columbia since the beginning of her practicum in June 2008 and teaching BCRPA a certified yoga since July 2008 and founded Zen Yahweh Fitness September 15, 2008, and have expanded her instructional services nationwide. Tanya trains local and national athletes, some of whom have been: Rhonda Zeunert multi-medalist of the Emperor's Challenge; Kathryn Fairweather multi-sport athlete and medalist; Ben & Josh Bruha (Canadian Championship winner) when they were home in the North Peace Region for land training and not on the ice playing hockey; Marie Bernardin multi-medalist endurance runner of various Canadian competitions. Tanya studies regularly for continuing education and professional development with the latest research of athlete and special populations treatment training to benefit her clients.
In 2017 Tanya returned to full-time school while continuing to work part-time. She graduated from Northern Lights College on the Honor List in June 2020 with an Associate of Arts Degree with a Concentration in Psychology. When she is not instructing and consulting part-time, She now studies full-time remotely at the University of the Fraser Valley as a distance ed. Bachlors of Integrated Studies student with a double minor in Kinesiology and a second minor to be determined soon as she works towards completing her masters & doctoral degrees.
